This ongoing body of artwork explores the complex connections between social power structures, perceptions of divinity, and the manipulation of nature. By using artificial intelligence to blend natural and A.I.-generated faces, my paintings challenge viewers to consider the blending of our current world with a future in which discerning between natural and artificial will be impossible. Furthermore, I use flowers as a metaphor for the entanglement of humans and non-human nature amidst artificial selection, highlighting ecology's entangled history with divinity and myth-making. Humans have long used the manipulation of nature to assert power with lasting effects on our environment.
