Layered Identity

        These artworks aspire to evolve the visual narrative of who "We the People" is. The portraits backdropped by color fields depict the emerging faces of our future amidst the process of their formation, resilient to history's dark past. Painted using the brown and mestizo skin tones of my inner-city community's layered identity, they foreshadow our inner strength to evolve.
