Oxidize
These artworks began as an experiment with the effects of aging and oxidation on steel. The sheets of steel were placed outside to rust under the elements. After being brought inside, I would then add household chemicals and oil paint to create the portraits of the homeless individuals who were a part of the T-shirt Project.
